Nursing Home Neglect

Untreated Decubitus Ulcer on Foot 
Mr. Kelly and Mr. Ignoffo reached a $350,000 settlement on behalf of an elderly woman who was a patient at an area nursing home who developed a decubitus ulcer on her left ankle.  Our firm discovered that the ulcer had gone untreated for several weeks and was hidden from family members who regularly visited our client.  We alleged multiple negligent failures surrounding the failure to prevent and the subsequent failure to treat the significant ulcer which resulted in the loss of half of the patient’s heel.
