Machine Crushes and Kills Man Working in Factory 
Mr. Kelly and Mr. Ignoffo obtained a $1.5 million settlement on behalf of the widow and son of a middle-aged man who was crushed and killed by a clutch test machine he was working on at a factory in northeast Indiana.  Filing suit in Cook County against the machine manufacturer, an Indiana company, our firm worked tirelessly to oppose the defendant’s motion to transfer the case to Indiana, a jurisdiction which historically has significantly lower verdicts than in Cook County.  Within one year of filing suit, our firm successfully negotiated the settlement on behalf of the family while the Court was deciding whether to transfer the case.
